Everything you need to know to make the most of Vizzio: Video Player WatchFree

Getting Started

Download & Install

Download Vizzio: Video Player WatchFree from the Google Play Store. Once installed, open the app and grant the necessary permissions when prompted. The app needs storage access to play your media files.

💡 Tip: Grant all requested permissions for the best experience. You can manage permissions later in your device's Settings.

Sign In (Optional)

You can use most features without signing in. For personalized features like watch history, comments, and liking videos, tap the profile icon and sign in with your Google account. This enables video uploads and social features.

💡 Tip: Signing in also allows you to sync your watch history across sessions and recover your data.

Navigate the App

The bottom navigation bar gives you quick access to all main sections: Home (video feed), Gallery (your video files), Music (audio player), Playlists, Documents, and Shorts (vertical video feed). Swipe between tabs for seamless browsing.

Video Player

Playing Videos

Tap any video in your gallery or the home feed to start playback. The player supports all major formats including MP4, AVI, MKV, MOV, and more. Use the on-screen controls to play, pause, seek, and adjust volume.

Playback Controls

While watching a video, you can:

- Adjust playback speed (0.5x to 2.0x) from the settings menu
- Enable Picture-in-Picture (PiP) to watch while using other apps
- Set a sleep timer to automatically stop playback
- Use the equalizer to adjust audio settings
- Lock the screen to prevent accidental touches

💡 Tip: The app remembers your last playback position. You can resume videos from where you left off!

Background Playback

Enable background playback from the settings to continue listening to video audio even when the app is minimized or your screen is off. This is perfect for music videos, podcasts, and audio content.

Music Player

Browsing Music

Open the Music tab to see all audio files on your device. Browse by songs, albums, or artists. Tap any track to start playing. The mini-player appears at the bottom so you can continue browsing while listening.

Playlist Management

Create custom playlists to organize your music. Tap the playlist icon, select "Create Playlist", give it a name, and add your favorite tracks. You can rename, reorder, or delete playlists anytime.

💡 Tip: Long-press on any song to quickly add it to an existing playlist.

Playback Features

Enjoy music with shuffle and repeat modes. The player shows album art when available. Music continues playing in the background thanks to the dedicated music service. Control playback from the notification panel.

YouTube Integration

Browse YouTube Content

The Home tab features YouTube video feeds organized by categories. Browse through trending videos, search for specific content, or explore categories like Music, Gaming, News, and more.

Add YouTube Videos

Tap the "Add Video" button and paste a YouTube URL to save it to your personal collection. Your added videos appear in your profile under "My Videos". You can edit or remove them anytime.

💡 Tip: Use the search feature to find YouTube videos directly within the app without switching to YouTube.

Shorts Feed

Enjoy a TikTok-style vertical video experience with YouTube Shorts. Swipe up to discover new short-form content. Like, comment, and share your favorite shorts directly from the app.

File Manager

Browse Files

Open the Documents tab to access the file explorer. Navigate through your device's folders. You can filter files by type: PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Text, ZIP, and RTF documents.

File Operations

Long-press on any file to select it. You can then rename, delete, share, or view file details. The recycle bin temporarily stores deleted files, giving you a chance to restore them if needed.

💡 Tip: Check the Recycle Bin regularly or set auto-cleanup to manage storage space.

Document Viewer

Tap on supported documents to view them directly within the app. The built-in viewer supports PDFs, Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, text files, and images.

Security & Privacy

App Lock

Set up a passcode to lock the app. Go to Settings > Security > App Lock. Choose a 4-digit passcode. You can also enable biometric unlock (fingerprint) for faster access on supported devices.

💡 Tip: Set up security questions when creating your passcode so you can recover access if you forget it.

Private Media

Hide sensitive videos, photos, and files in the Private Media folder. Access it from the settings menu. Files stored here are encrypted and only visible when you unlock the private area with your passcode.

Recycle Bin

Deleted files are moved to the Recycle Bin instead of being permanently removed. You can restore files within 30 days or permanently delete them. This acts as a safety net against accidental file loss.

Customization

Themes

Choose between Light, Dark, and System themes from Settings > Theme. The dark theme is great for nighttime viewing and saves battery on OLED screens. The System option automatically follows your device's theme.

Language

Vizzio supports 31 languages including English, Hindi, Spanish, Arabic, French, German, Chinese, Japanese, and many more. Change the language from Settings > Language. The app interface will update immediately.
